Thirteen Hallows

Hello, my loves!

hal·low - \ˈha-(ˌ)lō\: to respect greatly

Alright, so the title comes from the new instalment of "The Scarifyers".
When a haunted chess set causes consternation at the British Chess Championships, and a horse magically materialises in Kettering Agricultural Museum, MI:13 are called to investigate.

Harry Crow (David Warner) and Professor Dunning (Terry Molloy) follow the trail of inexplicable happenings to an unremarkable terraced house in South Wales, home to the mysterious Mr Merriman (David Benson). He’s very old, and very mad; but is there more to Merriman than first appears?

Meanwhile, in the South West of England, famed archaeologist Ralegh Radford (Ewan Bailey) is on the verge of the greatest discovery of the age. Britain’s Tutankhamen, the press are calling it. But what he certainly isn’t expecting to unearth is boisterous 1400-year-old knight Glewlwyd Gafaelfawr (Gareth David-Lloyd).

As Crow and Dunning unravel an unlikely plot to resurrect Britain’s greatest-ever hero, the race is on to stop sinister forces at home and abroad from finding… THE THIRTEEN HALLOWS.
I bought the CD because Gareth David-Lloyd was lending his voice to a character. I definitely don't regret it. The story was funny, and partly about King Arthur. One of my favourites! Not only that, but today (the 8th), Gareth David-Lloyd was signing copies in London. If you're interested, you can read about the signing here. It was one of the greatest moments of my life.

Shopping Addiction

Hello my loves! What's this?! Another post and so soon!!

Since I've been here in Colchester, I've been trying to limit my spending. I've applied to work as bar staff on campus (fingers crossed!), and I'm going to be looking in town as well, because hello, shopping is an expensive habit, and I need to support it!! There are also some gigs coming up (An Cafe, Big Bang, Blue Gillespie!!) that I have to go to.

Anyway, I picked up some things in town today. What's a trip to town without venturing into Top Shop? My new favourite store.

We had originally walked into Top Shop to get my friend a new bag because hers ripped. I certainly didn't intend to buy anything, but I saw SALE, and I just couldn't resist. There had been things that I had admired the past couple of times I had been in the store. None of them were on the sale rack, of course, but that doesn't mean I didn't find anything! I was actually quite restrained. I tried to justify buying these shorts, and I really couldn't. I already have a pair of black high waist shorts, but these are denim and my other pair isn't! And at £18, if I passed it up, then went back for it and missed out, I'd be so sad! They're a steal at that price, in my opinion, originally costing £32.

I really couldn't pass up the suspender tights. I've been dying for a pair, and these have bows! That's a sure way to get me to throw caution to the wind and snap them right up! I really can't wait to pair them with these shorts. That's one of my favourite looks. I love OTKs and thigh highs and any similar styles.

Who could pass up these socks, too?! I almost bought three pairs with the lace trim, but saw those bones and fell in love. At Trampoline, we bounce in our socks. I always get compliments because I'm a sucker for cute socks. I have so many patterns and styles, I really just couldn't pass these up. Am I wearing them now? Maaaaaaybe.

Love living here and Simple skin care is so easy to find. I've been looking for this Eye Make-Up corrector pen ever since Sami blogged about it. Also because Boots had a 3 for 2 sale and I needed to buy moisturiser, I picked up this deep cleansing face mask. Can't wait to try it.

Until next time, my loves!

June Haul

Happy June! This year is just flying by. Only a few more months until school starts up again! So much to do. Anyway, when I was cleaning out my wallet the other day, I found a F21 gift card. Such a surprise. I forgot all about it, but for my birthday my friend had gotten me a gift card. So I figured, 'Why not?' and did a bit of shopping. I'm surprised at how much I was able to get. I haven't been in a F21 store in ages, and it's been even longer since I've been on the website. I was pleasantly surprised at what they had, and just about everything I got was from the sale section, with a few exceptions.

I was unsure of this bag. I took it in and out of my cart so many times before finally deciding to get it, and I'm glad I did. I thought it would be a lot smaller than it is, but it's actually quite large! Perfect for travel.

Picked up some cosmetic items. I've never needed an eyelash curler because my lashes are naturally quite long and curled, but I thought it would make using falsies much easier, so I thought why not!

The two lashes on the right I bought for my mum. She expressed an interest in falsies when she saw mine, so I bought her some to play with!

I love this dress, but unfortunately it's a bit too big. I wish they had a smaller size, but they didn't have the option online, so I will have to take it in a bit! Fortunately, the seams are in such a place that it will be easy to take in the top a bit and take up the skirt a little! The fabric was amazing though. I was expecting for the quality to be lower, and the fabric to be a lot lower quality than it is, but it's so nice and soft. Love the bandeau, too. A lot of the ones I've tried in the past have been ill-fitting, but this one fits perfectly. I want lace everything this season!

I'm addicted to hats, and couldn't pass this one up.

Picked up the necklace for my friend! She loves Seungri from Big Bang, and seeing as his nickname is Panda, I thought it was a cute gift!

I was really pleasantly surprised about the quality of the items from F21. I'm so used to everything being quite low-quality and cheap, and really not durable at all. If I didn't have the gift card, I don't think I would have bought anything, but I'm glad I did. It was a pleasant surprise, and looking online is so much nicer than looking in the stores. At least when it comes to F21. I hate stores that have all their product crammed together. It makes it so difficult to find anything appealing and takes so much time!

Barielle

The second half of my Haute Look haul has arrived! This time I bought nail colours. I originally had four colours, but because of inadequate packing, one of the bottles broke in shipment. It really broke my heart! Customer service for Haute Look was excellent, though. When I opened my package and saw the broken bottle, I immediately called them and it took no time at all to process a refund. No hassle whatsoever! I hope in the future they will ship things like nail lacquers in a small box with separators like Zoya does.

I've worn each of these colours already, and will write up a review and swatch for each of them! I'm so happy with my purchases.

Left to Right: Lava Rock, Enduring, Pink Quartz
Barielle's Philosophy
Since our inception over 30 years ago, Barielle has stood apart as the absolute first to practice a progressive “3-free” philosophy on formulation: absolutely none of Barielle’s products contain Formaldehyde, Toluene or Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP)—chemicals that are suspected to be harmful. Instead, we have enlightened the world on safe, effective and natural alternatives such as Keratin, Proteins, Vitamins, and Oil and Plant Extracts.
Not a very long post, I'm sorry. As I'm going to review each colour separately, there's not too much to write about it!

Also, if anyone has any advice on taking better photos and improving blog posts, I'd be glad to hear it! Currently I don't have a camera aside from my phone, which I'm sure is noticeable that I've been using, and even though I've had a blog for a while, it's only more recently that I've been consistently blogging! I'm open to any advice that you have to give. Don't be shy!

Mini Birthday Haul

With my birthday coming next week, I got some birthday promotions in the mail from Sephora! Of course there's always the free gift that you get every year as a Beauty Insider, but this year I also got a 15% off coupon! I don't remember that from last year! I was also told I can use it over and over again until the 5th. Score more online shopping!

I went with the intention of...well, I actually didn't have anything in mind that I wanted, because I've just bought all that make from Nyx. Wandered around the store for a bit before deciding on a YSL Creme liner. Why not? I mean I had a discount coupon! It's my first YSL liner, and I've been coveting YSL cosmetics since I first became interested in makeup.
I'm so excited to have it. I also picked up a lotion, and the shop girl gave me a free sample of Bulgari's Omnia.

The birthday gift was a sample of the Rose Sugar Lip Treatment. There's a Rosé and a Fresh. I can't wait to use them.
Tuscan Blood Orange Body Butter. It smells so nice and citrusy, I think I might keep it in my school bag as a mid-day wake me up!

Updates, Christmas, Gets~

So of course it's been absolutely forever since I've updated.  I can't believe a whole month has actually gone by!

Not all of this is from Christmas, but things that I've bought over time.

My sister bought me more Marc Jacob's Daisy for Christmas and my step mother got me Spin, which is a cheaper alternative to Kate Spade's Twirl (smells like grapefruit!).  I bought this cute beret at H&M when I was picking up some Christmas presents my mum asked me to pick up. (They were for me! A tote and a pair of boots.  Maybe I'll put those in the next post.  Super cute~)

I bought this ring at H&M to accessorize a LBD I was wearing to waitress a party.  I needed more accessories because unfortunately I didn't have a silver detailed belt to wear with the dress!  I picked up these three nail polishes at Target~ They're so nice.
Left to Right: Make U Smile, Love Your Life (Heart glitter!), Snow-man of My Dreams

E.L.F mascaras that were in my stocking!  I've never used E.L.F before, but I love love love it so much!  It's currently the best mascara I've ever used!

Also got this Union Jack iPhone case, as well as an England and Wales guidebook.  Which will be super useful when I achieve one of my resolutions! (Which will be in a later post!)  I mostly got money for Christmas, to put into my savings for my future adventures in the UK.

Christmas Eve was the best.  There was a lot of food and fun and people!  We had almost as many desserts as food, and we were baking and cooking all day.  It was so nice.  Unfortunately I didn't take many pictures (none at all really!) during the night.

How was your christmas, or if you don't celebrate Christmas, did you enjoy your holidays?  Did you enjoy time with your family?  Did you get what you were hoping for?

Another Shopping Haul!

Ok, I shop way way too much.  It's ok though.  The Bendels that's opening is still hiring for associates and a key holder, so I'm going to submit my resume on Monday, and hopefully I'll get an interview!  It'll make up for it.

Anyway, I can't help it!  I just get so bored.  It's mostly because I was out and about today as well, had to return some things to Ikea so when I drove by the mall I had to stop!  i went looking for a specific style of tank top (unfortunately never found) and ended up stumbling onto some ridiculous sales.  All the sale merchandise was an extra half off!

So~  Went to F21 (the only place I didn't shop the sale racks) picked up some basics, nail polish and face masks

Gray                                                   "Avocado"

Raspberry Mask, Tomato and Grape Yogurt! and basic tanks

Every where else I went I went straight to the sales.

Went to Hollister (cute worker who was super cute was teasing me about my amount of bags.  Such a nice smile he had :3)

American Eagle:
This skirt was $10 and the tank was $5.  Seriously, how much better can that get?

AND last but not least, Urban Outfitters.

I also bought my roomie a gift, but I don't want her to see it, so I won't upload it or talk about it!

Best part is, everything was so only sale it was all around $150!  So lucky~  Especially because these Urban dresses are like $60 each.  I saved at least $90 at Urban alone.

Vacation~

Well, I suppose it's not vacation anymore, seeing as I just got back!  I went to NY for the week to meet up with some friends, do some shopping, and blow off some steam from school.  It feels like it's been ages since I've been on, and I have so many blog posts to read and comment on, and so many posts to finish writing.

I will eventually get that BB Cream review up.  I got a bit distracted I'll admit when I finished midterms and finally classes.

I didn't get any pictures with my friends while in NY, and I'm so mad, because I brought my camera!  But I went shopping pretty much every day, and New York is always my favorite, because there's literally like 3 huge H&Ms within a few blocks distance of each other.  So so so much shopping.

Shoppiiiiiing...again.

So I did a bit of shopping today.  Mum went to the medi spa and I went shopping while waiting for her!  I went a couple of places.  I'm on the hunt for a cute summer dress.  I remember seeing one in Macy's that I really loved by Guess, but I went today and they didn't have it. ㅠㅠㅠㅠ

So I went other places, Delia*s, Charlotte Russe, different brands in Macy's.  I didn't find anything I ilked.  Sad.  I'm quite picky about dress styles.  It needs to hit just right, and I don't want it to make me look any shorter than I am!  Anyway, I ended up not getting a dress, but I did still come away with other things.

Two tank tops from Delia*s, a notebook, a makeup brush, and moisturizer.  I spent way more than I wanted to, but that's ok.

Anyway, Delia*s~

I shop too much.

Hmmm, so I shop a lot apparently, but anyway~ that's not the only purpose of this post!

I had orientation this weekend for school.  It was boring.  I've already been to two other orientations for college, and they kept saying this one would be different.  It wasn't.  I stayed while they went over the first portion, then they let us pick which info sessions we wanted to go to, and they wanted us to go to three.  I went to one, the study abroad session, and skipped out on the rest.  I took a long lunch :3 then went back for the second half, and advising.  I signed up for two classes for the summer.  I wanted more, but those were the only classes still open.  Buuuut!  I only need about ~16 classes before I'm finished with my degree.

Anywaaaay so after orientation my friend and I went to this art show the school was putting on for the seniors.  It was an um...interesting experience.  I'd like to leave the first part of it as I've seen more of a girl than I've ever wanted to, and I hope I never have to see it again.

Aside from that, the second half of the art show was pretty cool.
It actually worked, too!  It obviously went in a circle, it was supposed to be a carousel.  That was my favorite part of the night.  The rest of it, I was a bit uncomfortable.  Parties aren't really my scene, and I'm uncomfortable around a lot of people.  I played twitter trivia with Block B Intl kkkk

Aaaand my bestie and I went shopping~  to Urban of course!
My friend Nicky got a cute sweater there with his sister some time ago, and I fell in love with it, but at my Urban, they didn't have anything smaller than a large.  A guy's large.  I need like a guy's extra-small.  BUT, I found it at this Urban and immediately snatched it up!  It was the only xs~
It's my favorite.  Soooooo soft, and it looks cute with shorts and my white converse.  (which those are new, too)

I also got a cute dress.
My first dress of the summer season this year~
The back is my favorite, it's got a cut out and a bow tied on top of it.  Sadly, that's a really awkward position and I can't get a good picture of it, sooooo~
20614285_069_e.jpg

that's what it looks like

super on sale.  $5.  New favorite hat~

my bestie gave me these~  they're from Topshop and she got them in London lucky girl. I want to go to London so bad~

I bought these not too long ago~  Two for the price of one.  I don't remember if I've already blogged about it.  It pays to be able to wear youth sizes~

I now have them in white as well~

Aaaaand last but not least~
I finally got my hands on BB 4.5~ I was so excited driving home today knowing that this was waiting for me!

it's so beautiful ㅠ.ㅠ

You push where the CD is, and it pops out!  One of my favorite things about it.  The packaging is so clever!

The CD book is a photobook/lyrics full of 100 pages of Big Bang deliciousness~

I'm honestly not sure what this is!  My Korean isn't strong enough yet~

The YG Family card I got!  I think Daesung-ah's picture is the sexiest out of everyone else's with Tabi at a close second.  I traded him though for the super sexy mini4 Tabi

and of course it came with a poster.  I'm not sure if I'll put it up, yet, but Tabi and Panda look great!

aaaand that's the end of this post~
