Just a quick random update here that I'm so excited about! My favourite actor (and band lead!) Gareth David-Lloyd and his wife Gemma are having their baby! Gemma went into labour today, and how exciting! Baby Lloyd is on its way! Congratulations to the happy parents. That child is going to be beautiful, and I'm sure they'll be fantastic parents. I don't even know why I'm so excited about it; I have no connection with them at all, but oooooh it's so exciting! Ok. Fan-girl moment over.
Anyway~ For a lack of things to do, I've been sewing more often. I have a huge steamer trunk under my bed full of fabric, so why not find things to sew! I had a lot of cute plaid prints and had the itch to make some bows.
At the craft store with mum today, I picked up some more fabrics in cute prints. They're all my favourite, but I really love the strawberry and matryoshka ones.
Since I've been home, I've had all the time in the world to do all the things I wanted to do. Study Welsh, leisurely study Japanese, sew some hair bows, sleep. You know, the fun stuff. It's only been two days, but I've already made three medium sized bows (with plans for more) and two detachable peter pan collars. One is velvet, and the other is a black fur with a satin underside and a pearled button. I've been looking all over for cute tops and dresses with peter pan collars and have yet to find one that I really like. So I had a thought. Why not just make it myself?!
