[REVIEW] Nyx Pastel Set

So like I said in my last post, Hautelook had a sale on Nyx Cosmetics, so I picked up a couple of sets and some liners! I love the colours in the pastel set. Purple, Green, Blue, and a Pinky/Beige. They're quite sheer, but that's what I'd like to be wearing for Spring! Soft, sheer colours.

Left to Right: Lilac Pearl, Baby Blue, Pearl, Lime Pearl
Xtreme lip creme in Nude Peach Fuzz

Swatched Left to Right:
Lilac Pearl, Baby Blue, Pearl, Lime Pearl

Product Detail:
For those who like their eye shadow to have a pearlescent, iridescent finish, this is the eye color for you. Each of these zinging 18 shades evokes Studio 54 glamour. Wear them on their own, or use as a highlighter with matte shades. It’s easy to glimmer in this shimmer.

The eye colours are my favourite. They're nice and sheer, not overwhelmingly bright. They go on smooth. They are very shimmery though, so I did notice some fallout from the glitter. Other than that, after a quick clean up, it didn't budge until I rubbed at it with a make up cloth.

Xtreme lip creme in Nude Peach Fuzz

Product Detail:
Beautify your lips with this velvety rich lip cream that provides extreme pigmentation with a silky and glossy finish. This lip cream is a hybrid of lipstick, lip gloss, and lip stain with intense pigmentation all in one. Complete your head-turning look with the Xtreme Lip Cream in any of the 11 luscious colours.
I don't like the lip colour that came with it. It's a peachy colour that, in my opinion, doesn't look good with my skin tone. As you can see in the swatch, it's quite thick looking. It felt thick and dry on my lips, which I find strange for a gloss. On the plus side, it wasn't sticky at all! I couldn't leave it on though. I took it off as soon as I could. I don't see myself ever wearing it if I'm completely honest!

Zoya Colours

I don't like this new blogger interface!  Maybe it'll just take some getting used to, but it doesn't save any of my posts or post photos.  So frustrating.  Maybe it's just my browser, but I've used two different browsers and still nothing.

Anyway, not what this post is about!  I've been obsessed with nail colours lately, and I've bought ten colours these past two weeks!  I just can't get enough.  I've bought from both Zoya and Barielle.  My Zoya package came in the other day!

The new color of fashion. Zoya Nail Polish combines the most sought-after fashion nail colors with the longest-lasting, safest technology in nail care. Zoya's 300-plus stylish nail polish shades are all formaldehyde, toluene, dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and camphor free. The cutting-edge formula has also won a Women's Health Magazine independent panel award for longest-lasting polish. The release of Zoya's four seasonal polish collections is always hotly anticipated by beauty editors, beauty lovers and the salon & spa community alike.

Mattes (L-R) - Veruschka, Dovima

Fleck - Maisie

Creme (L-R) - Bevin, Robyn

Metallics (L-R) - Mikka, Ibiza, Gemma, Trixie

I'll be reviewing each one separately!

Where have I been?

February is almost over!  So much for blogging weekly.  I've missed so much that my feed doesn't even go back to show all the entries I missed!  I'll work on that! Ha.  I'm happy to say that I've met a few of my resolutions already, but of course I'm not stopping here! I want to meet them all!

I can't believe it's already the middle of the semester.  I've already had a midterm, and I'm having more within the next week and a half!  Where has the time gone?  My life has been school, sleep, school, sleep.  So not much has been going on.

Saw this design on a graphic floating around tumblr, and I wanted it.  Went out and bought a case and made it.
It's silver and black sharpie and I'm going to cover it with some sort of finish so it doesn't rub off!

My roommate pulled me out of the apartment yesterday.  I've been doing nothing but studying, and she talked me into skipping the library and going to the mall.  Quite a disappointing shopping day if I'm honest.

Not only was the woman at Urban rude (that's a rant that i've already had in multiple places), but there was almost nothing that I wanted anywhere.  Urban did have a floral print oversized sweater on sale and vintage rose print tights that I wanted, but I was put off the sale by how I was treated in the store.  So not cool.

All was not lost though!  i did buy some things.  Aviator and Wayfarer style sunglasses from H&M and a gorgeous blush pink linen shirt from Zara.

I went to Megacon with my friend last weekend.  My first ever convention, and it was crazy!  Good cosplays, bad cosplays, media guests and booths!  And of course, so much Doctor Who!  There was a Tardis and a Dalek!
The Dalek actually had space for a man to sit inside and control it!  The coolest thing I've ever seen.  I got my picture taken in front of the Tardis.  So gooooood.

Bought a poster, too! Because Daleks are win!

Two media guests I was dying to see!
Tom Felton and Joseph Morgan!
I got my photo taken with them both!  I wanted an autograph, too, but I couldn't afford the photo and the autograph.  The disappointments of being a jobless uni student. :[

They're both so sweet.  Joseph was a bit shy, to be honest! It was the best day ever.

[REVIEW] Bison Bakkanto Rose Champagne

Updating from school!  It seems like all my professors got together and decided to all pile on a bunch of reading at once!  I'm taking a break from studying to make this review.

I bought this at the same time as the Moroccan Lava but waited until now to use it.  Sadly, the bath in my apartment isn't really ideal.  The tub is so deep that the hot water runs out before it's even full! So depressing.  Anyway, I loved this bath salt.  I loved it even more than the Moroccan Lava one.

Bison Bakkantou -Rose Champagne is a bath soak that can enhance tightening and moisturizing your skin.

While soaking in the hot bath, adding this product to your bath can increase being beautiful!

The main ingredients: carbonic acid and germanium helps to make a fluffly skin and moisturize your skin to create a flawless beautiful skin.

The 5 Tightening Hot Ingredients:
Germanium, Hot spring mineral, Red pepper, Ginger extract, Rock salt.

Moisture Ingredients:
Rosehip extract, Rose extract, Collagen, Hyaluronic, PEG-90M.

Enjoy the bubbly sound while soaking in the hot bath!

This one turned my bath water a nice pastel pink, and the popping was so loud I could hear it in my bedroom.  It was so cool.  It was super soothing, and the perfect thing to do when taking a breather from studying!  Such a nice scent, too.  In the bag it was kind of strong, but once mixed into the water is was less overpowering.  Nice rose scent.

My skin was so soft, and I smelt like roses for the rest of the day.  So super soothing, and definitely destressing.  I certainly wasn't sweating my exam for the rest of the day!
I definitely give it a 5/5.

I saw a Royal Milk Honey one.  I'll definitely be trying that one next!
